Brad Kagawa is the Vice President of Technology for the New York Times Company, responsible for publishing and content management systems and managing a team of over 50 engineers, project managers, and systems analysts.
His first responsibility at the Times 9 years ago was to oversee the implementation of a new content management system that has evolved from being the web publishing platform to the system used for almost all editorial engagement with Times content: story assignment and planning, copy editing, photo editing, metadata management, and both print and digital production.
Prior to being at the Times, Brad was a software engineer and project manager with Roundarch, specializing in custom and vendor content management system implementations at various clients.
