Cory Polonetsky helps marketers and salespeople tell their stories as Elsevier's Senior Director of the Value Proposition Initiative.
Elsevier is the world's leading provider of scientific, technical, and medical information, tools, and resources. Cory's current focus is finding the compelling stories behind Elsevier solutions. Those stories are not about the solutions themselves; they are about customers, their opportunities, and their challenges.
Cory's own story includes diverse experiences as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company and with Simon-Kucher & Partners, where he worked in various industries including healthcare, financial services, and Major League Baseball.
As a customer-immersed marketer and strategist, Cory was then a good fit to take on product launches, market expansion, and business model development in the global portfolio of RELX Group companies, which include Elsevier. He is passionate about helping his customers do important work, such as helping researchers and clinicians work successfully, safely, and efficiently.
Cory speaks frequently on marketing opportunities, especially in the information industry. In 2014, he spoke at the Digital Media Innovation Conference in London on Marketing To A Fragmented Audience. He led The Value Prop Workshop for the Boston chapter of the SIIA. He moderated a panel at Elsevier's eBooks Forum at the Charleston Conference entitled Decoding the New Ebook Landscape. And in 2015 he presented Value Is The Key To Opening More Doors at the B2B Marketing Summit in London.
